On September, 20th 2025 LCCG marked a beautiful milestone by organising a life changing walk through the streets of Korle- Bu and Ga Mashie with the aim To raise awareness for childhood cancer. Which was themed: “Walk for Hope , Step for Change” . The walk started at the forecourt of the Department of Child Health, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital through the streets of Korle- Bu unto the High Street, passing through the post office, right down to Palladium, and finally returning to the starting point, that is, the forecourt of the Child Health department
The streets came alive with vibrant placards with messages of hope , heartfelt chants , music, and hopeful faces, reminding everyone that childhood cancer deserves urgent attention through early detection and collective action saves lives.
What made it even more special was the incredible support LCCG received from our partners and sponsors who believed in the cause as much as we do.
Beyond the walk, it was a moment of unity, proof that when voices come together, they grow stronger and harder to ignore.
The organisation is deeply grateful to everyone who walked with us and supported us in any way. This walk is only the beginning, and with your continued support, the path ahead will be greater.
