After nearly a year of going through treatment at St Judes Children Research Hospital, Godwina is finally cancer free and returned home on January 30, 2025 and oh what a moment it was! Godwina who suffered from cancer of the kidney had the privilege of getting very complicated treatment from St Jude Children’s research Hospital. It was a difficult journey of many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Today, little Godwina has no cancer cells in her body.
The atmosphere was electric as we waited with excitement at the airport, eyes on the arrival gate, and then, there she was. Bright-eyed, walking strong, and wearing the biggest smile we’ve ever seen.
Her journey was intense! surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and the inbetweens but with expert care and unshakable courage, she made it through.Thank you St Jude Children’s research hospital for never giving up on children like Godwina. Your support has been remarkable
